What’s New: Classroom Activities Booklet Fosters Greater Understanding
A user-friendly school toolkit has been produced by Erasmus+ in collaboration with the European Union. The In Scool Activities Booklet (yes, that is the correct spelling of the title of the booklet) features practical classroom activities to foster rights-based learning. The activities are designed to be fun and engaging to enable students to better understand the meaning of values, diversity, and inclusion.
The selection of activities in this booklet can be tailored to the individual needs of students and can be divided into short segments to better respond to learning needs. A component of each activity is that students need to work together so that they can get to know each other. The booklet also includes suggestions for teachers who are facilitating the activities to keep students emotionally safe.
Each learning activity includes an estimated timeframe to complete the activity, learning overview and objectives, group organization and resources. An activity sheet accompanies each learning activity where applicable. The topic areas covered in this booklet include understanding diversity and inclusion, exploring values and actions and then reviewing how their class and school meets the values that students have discussed.
The In Scool Activities Booklet is an excellent resource for teachers and aspiring educators. To review this resource, click here.
