What’s New: Ideas for Inspiring Inclusive Workplaces

In the article, 50+Ideas for Cultivating Diversity and Inclusion at Your Company featured on LinkedIn the author Jennifer Kim states that “instead of seeing D&I as an “all or nothing,” you can build momentum by tackling smaller initiatives.”

Kim encourages companies to start small and take one step at a time to champion diversity, equity and inclusion and then suggests 50 starting points including:

  • convert all job descriptions to gender-neutral language;

  • introduce diversity and inclusion early on in the employee’s career;

  • create a channel for D&I in the company’s communication tool; and

  • include D&I in performance conversations.

Each of the ideas are accompanied by a practical strategy or a suggestion for implementation.
