What’s New: Conference Accessibility Resource

The World Institute on Disability (WID) has developed a series of guides designed to ensure that in-person and virtual conferences, events, and meetings are accessible to and inclusive of people with a disability. These resources include a planning checklist, accessible presentations guide and accessibility accommodations. There is also information on accessibility features and accommodations for virtual platform-specific accessibility for Zoom, Webex, and Google Meet. There is a comprehensive list of external resources including:

  • Making your Conference Accessible: American Evaluation Association

  • Making Your Virtual Conference Accessible: Rooted in Rights

  • Accessible Video Conferencing: University of Michigan

  • Accessibility in Video Conferencing and Remote Meetings: Drake Music

  • Accessible Event Checklist: Cornell University

The World Institute on Disability (WID) is dedicated to designing, building, and supporting whole community solutions by removing barriers to include people with disabilities. This mission is achieved through consulting services, training and tools.
