The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) has developed a free handbook designed to inspire businesses to become more accessible and inclusive. This easy-to-read publication features practical and no-cost or low-cost solutions. It covers the following topics:

  • Accessibility Matters

  • Frequently Asked Questions

  • Heritage and Second Floor Businesses

  • Customer Service

  • Space Layout and Design

  • Information and Communications

  • Lighting

The handbook includes an accessibility checklist that groups accessibility features into no-cost, low-cost and medium-cost categories. A number of helpful resources are also included at the end of the handbook.
