What’s New: Making Training Programs More Inclusive

To thrive in our pandemic and ever-changing world, organizations must become more responsive and adaptable than ever before.  As organizations embrace the business case for diversity, equity, and inclusion there is a renewed commitment to prioritized DEI training.

In the article titled The Importance of Making Training Programs More Inclusive in 2022 featured in Training Industry, the author Christina Gialleli, Director of People Operations at Epignosis shares her insights on several steps that can be taken to ensure that training programs are more inclusive.

Gialleli outlines tips for inclusive DEI training including using the right language, gamification, microlearning, and variety of delivery methods. In designing training programs DEI should be a priority in relation to other considerations including remote and hybrid work, flexible work schedules, soft skills, and the importance of core values.

Gialleli reminds organizations that “The future of work will require employers to step it up when it comes to their DEI commitments. Companies that don’t get on board will quickly fall behind when it comes to things like employee satisfaction, confidence — and ultimately, talent retention.”
