The Active Living Alliance for Canadians with a Disability (ALACD) is a network of organizations that share best practices about inclusion in communities. ALACD offers a number of resources to assist organizations in promoting inclusion and healthy and active living for everyone.

ALACD’s All Abilities Welcome Toolkit is available in English and French and includes an introductory booklet; tools to promote inclusive programs, services, and facilities; and a CD with tracking tools.

To download the toolkit (English version), click here.

Another useful resource that ALACD provides on its website is a list of Canadian organizations that support recreation for all. The Canadian Practices in Inclusive Recreation lists the organizations by geographical area.
