What’s New: Leading Practices on Disability Inclusion

“Successful businesses recognize that incorporating disability in all diversity and inclusion practices positively impacts their companies’ bottom line.” This reality is part of the opening remarks in the Leading Practices on Disability Inclusion publication developed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the U.S. Business Leadership Network.

This publication starts off with a Workplace Disability Inclusion Assessment Tool. Each section of this tool includes a series of questions related to recruitment, employment, diversity, supplying, technology access and marketing. Leading organizations who are committed to disability-friendly corporate practices are featured. The initiatives of companies including IBM, Lowe’s and Microsoft are featured.

Leaders in the corporate and business world will find information in this publication that will be helpful in their efforts to create organizations that are accessible to and inclusive of people with disabilities.
